CECOA MISSION clearly states the “promotion of projects and studies aiming to develop innovative contents, methodologies and tools to support vocational education and training and/or targeted to the Trade and Services setor” as one of it strategic key points. 

In fact, CECOA investment in R&D and Innovation has been for the last 15 years an advantage regarding other VET providers. It provides CECOA with the possibility of creating new “knowledge” as well as bringing to the training offer (at CECOA level but also at national level) and to the setors CECOA represents – trade and services – differentiation and innovation through innovative contents, methodologies and tools.

Innovation, differentiation and reinforcement of cooperation and partnerships with other organisations are success key fators duly identified in CECOA QUALITY POLICY.

So far, our strategy has been based on the development of national and international R&D, Innovation, Cooperation and Partnership projects, acting as source of innovation and differentiation and allowing to bring to our training and services (Young People VET, Training and Services to Companies and Professionals, Accreditation of Prior Learning) and to the Human Resources involved, new knowledge and opportunities of skills and competences improvement, new role models and methodologies, new tools and contents.

From early, CECOA realised that a strategy of partnership, both at national and international level, could play an important role and act as a differentiation fator and that partnerships could be successfully used as source of innovation. CECOA works regularly with more than one hundred national and international partner institutions.
