CECOA in the NETINVET European Association General Assembly…
On the 29th March 2011, CECOA participated in the first General Assembly of the European Association NETINVET, an association with head office in Paris, born in the framework of an European Project having CECOA has partner - the RECOMFOR project - , and created with the aim of promoting European mobility for learners completing vocation training in the trade setor.
This association is mostly targeted to training providers offering vocational training opportunities in the field of trade in the different European countries but it involves also companies (in their role of training agents whenever they welcome a learner for a work placement) and their representative structures (business associations, chambers of commerce, employers organisations, etc, etc). Naturally, competent bodies in the field of VET, in each country, are also involved.
38 training providers and 6 business associations coming from 10 European countries (France, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, the Netherlands, Italy and Greece) took part in this General Assembly. Those 44 organisations constitute, for the moment, the NETINVET association members.
In this General Assembly, among other activities, the Association governing bodies were elected and a French Chairman was unanimously elected – Mr. Hugues Pouzin, Chief-Executive of CGI, the French Wholesale and International Trade Confederation.
This association brings together organisations putting value in VET learner’s international mobility, but a special kind of mobility, a mobility able to be “recognised” and “capitalised” in the framework of the qualifications that learners are preparing in their own country. Those are organisations fully dedicated to the application and testing of the principles set up by the European ECVET Recommendation but respecting the way of functioning and the training organisation existing in each country.
For us, as a training and learning opportunities provider, being member of this Association means a step forward in the training opportunities we can offer to our learners – for the moment, only to our International Trade learners – but also a step forward in our own learning process as a learning organisation.
